The main leaf image is from Blooming Button Bits and was stamped in Burnt Umber ink. I punched out some flowers in Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy and Taupe cardstock and added a medium brown rhinestone to the center. I placed everything on a light olive panel which I jazzed up a bit with my fancy corner punch. I tied some string and accented the colours with two strips of cardstock in dark brown and pure poppy. I embossed the background with a texture plate by Fiskars. Thanks for visiting.
I created the background for this card with Sweet Love and With Sympathy (both sets from Paper Trey Ink). I stamped the images in Burnt Umber ink on Kraft cardstock. The flower was created from With Sympathy in Bordering Blue ink on Nautical Blue Lt Cardstock and cut out and adhered with foam squares for dimension. I threw in a little machine stitching on the polka dot strip and carried the polka dot themed through the rest of the card by incorporating a polka dot leaf. The label is also attached to the card with foam squares.
I apologize for the lack of updates to my site over the last few weeks. We are expecting our second baby in 4 weeks and we moved my daughter out of the nursery and into her big girl room ...where the sun now shines into her room bright and early so she is now awake 1.5 -2 hours earlier than she was when she was sleeping in the nursery. This means I have lost my early morning studio time and most days I am too tired by the time its time for her afternoon nap! I am struggling already ato manage sleep vs. creativity and the baby isn't even born yet! I found a few minutes yesterday to make these cards. Enjoy!
