I'm on a mission

My pile of "scraps" as some people call them is getting bigger than life! I am on a mission to use up a majority of these small pieces of cardstock and patterned papers before I use anymore fresh ones to add to my unending pile. The smaller pieces are great for punch art and die cutting! Mini cards are a great way to use those small pieces so they find a use without making its way to the recycle bin. If I showed you the amount of white cardstock I have in my "scrap bin" you would be floored. My white cardstock has a huge bin of its own!  I chose not to stamp a sentiment on this card so it can be used for a new baby, baby shower or a little boy's birthday. I created it with punches (circle, square and star) and added some foam squares underneath for dimension.   

Little Baby Snail

I made this card for the Clean and Simple challenge on Split Coast Stampers. The challenge was to use Green, Brown and a neutral (white or cream). Green and Brown is one of my favourite colour combos, so this was a pretty easy challenge for me. I used Baby Button Bits for the snail and My Punny Valentine for the grass and Polka Dot Basics for the polka dot pattern at the bottom of the card. Baby Boy Sailboat Card

 

For this baby boy card, I used Tiny Treat Valentine to create the main boat image. I also used Polka Dot Basics to create the subtle background with the circular image. I added a little machine stitching and a scalloped border and a sentiment from Baby Button Bits in Burnt Umber ink. I also added a bit of glittering to the boat image to jazz it up a bit. Little Baby Onesie

Just a quickie post today! I started off with a piece of pretty pink gingham paper. I cut the onesie from pink cardstock and punched a little yellow duckie which I added a bit of dimension with some copics. I accented the onesie with some cute little buttons and stamped the sentiment on a panel of matching yeloow cardstock which I accented with a punched border strip. Thanks for visiting.

Sweet Little Peas

I created these sweet little baby cards while playing around with Baby Button Bits (PTI). I haven't really had any time to create lately (I'm currently in school trying to finish up some schooling I started before) so I haven't had as much time to create as I would like. I used the sweet pea image and stamped it with a combo of Landscape/Ripe Avocado ink. I punched out three circles (1 sweet blush, 2 Spring Moss) added some inking and glued them together to create the "peas". I used my favourite background stamp from Polka Dot Basics (this is my mostly used set from PTI) to add a nice whimsy background. I added a strip of Ripe Avocado cardstock to tie in the greens and a darker shade of blue or pink cardstock for the bottom. Have a nice day and thanks for visiting!

Baby Giraffe

 

 

Last week I pulled out some older SU! stamps because I felt like doing a bit of colouring. I decided on my favourite little stamp from an older set called Little Hellos. This little giraffe is two cute! I pulled out my prismacolor pencils and spirits and coloured away. I am so inspired by Paula's colouring (she does the most beautiful colouring so I was happy to see that she is coming to my neck of the woods next month to teach a colouring class...yay!) I paired the little giraffe with a PTI sentiment from Signature Greetings. Have a great day.

Little Duckie Card

I originally made this card for my girlfriend's baby shower but for whatever reason I ended up giving her a different card. My intention for this card was to be neutral because she didn't know what she was having and I actually made the invites for her surprise baby shower so this card matched the invites. I used a little duck punch to make the sweet little duckie. I added some shading with a Copic marker. The scalloped frame is a QK die and I used my swiss dots embossing folder to create some texture. I used my favourite ribbon (from Michaels, I actually went to purchase more this weekend and they didn't have any!!) The sentiment is stamped in Burnt Umber ink and the stamp is from Mega Mixed Messages.

Little Baby Giraffe Card

This is one of the cards that made it into the recycling bin yesterday morning. It's too bad I don't have enough supplies to make another one becuase I am going to a baby shower this weekend and the sex of the baby isn't known so this would have made a great neutral baby card. Stickers on this card are from Doodlebug Design and the patterned paper is by K & Company. I stamped the sentiment (Mega Mixed Messages, PTI) onto my fasvourite little label by Quickutz. You can't tell in the photo but I went and added glitter to the giraffe, flowers, bird and label for a subtle glittery effect, (so pretty.) Have a great day.
  

Little Baby Boy

I made another baby card...no surprise. I love baby cards. I made the patterned cardstock by stamping the star trio randomly on blue cardstock. The little outfit is made by punching out a shirt and overalls and layering them together with two brown rhinestones for buttons and I cut out two tiny little have circles for pockets. I mounted everything with dimensional adhesive.

Flowery Baby

This card was actually inspired by the pattern on my daughter's umbrella stroller. Very girly. How appropriate for a baby girl card. So I recreated a similar pattern using a little cardstock and ink and I threw in a little glitter to boot! I added subtle glittering to the label and flower centers. A bit of raspberry gingham ribbon and raspberry rhinestones complete it.
