DAD

For this card, I used some beautiful leaf stamps from a set by Stampendous (this set is called Fall Foilage). I chose earthy colours to stamp the leaves in (Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna and Bordering Blue). I stamped the images randomly and then used a copic marker (baby skin pink) to gives the leaves a slight shadow and to make the images pop. I inked the edges of the cardstock with Antique Linen  (Distress ink) and added some stitching for texture. I stamped the Dad sentiment on a label by Quickutz and cut out one of the leaves to accent the main focal point. I finished it off by adding a flourish image and rounded the corners. Sweet Little Peas

I created these sweet little baby cards while playing around with Baby Button Bits (PTI). I haven't really had any time to create lately (I'm currently in school trying to finish up some schooling I started before) so I haven't had as much time to create as I would like. I used the sweet pea image and stamped it with a combo of Landscape/Ripe Avocado ink. I punched out three circles (1 sweet blush, 2 Spring Moss) added some inking and glued them together to create the "peas". I used my favourite background stamp from Polka Dot Basics (this is my mostly used set from PTI) to add a nice whimsy background. I added a strip of Ripe Avocado cardstock to tie in the greens and a darker shade of blue or pink cardstock for the bottom. Have a nice day and thanks for visiting!

Thank you trees

I created this card for PTI's Guest Start Stamper contest. I used my favourite tree image from the set and stamped it in Noir Black ink on vintage cream cardstock. I roughed up the edges with a distressor and glued it to a piece of Spring Moss cardstock. I then added four fancy corners I punched out with my Emagination Crafts punch and stamped the sentiment on a label punched from Vintage Cream cardstock with my Quickutz handtool. I attached the label with dimensional adhesive.
  

Pink Birthday Cupcake

For today's card I started off with two pieces of pink patterned paper. I chose a plaid and a dot and accented them with a dark brown scalloped border. The sentiment is stamped in Burnt Umber ink and I added some little details to the cupcake to make it stand out. I shaded each piece with some ink and then went over everything with some glitter to jazz it up a bit. Then I finished it off with a large raspberry rhinestone (too cute!). I finished the inside to match but added a flower to keep things "flat". Then I used a strip of matching paper to finish off the flap of the envelope. Thanks for visiting.   

Floral Birthday

 

For this card, I started off with a piece of dark chocolate cardstock and stamped it with new canvas ink with the circles image from Polka Dot Basics. I punched out some flowers and leaves and accented them with a raspberry rhinestone and glued them to some scalloped circles. I attached the circles with dimensional adhesive and used my apron lace border punch to add a bit of frill to the card. Sentiment is from Damask Designs and stamped with Burnt Umber ink. Hello from the heart

For this card I started with Piece of Cake and I stamped it on a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock with Water Lily Green ink.  I used the same ink and stamped the circular image from Polka Dot Basics on a piece of Suede Brown Med cardstock (Prism). I masked the sentiment (Vintage Picnic Sentiments) to create the text on two line and leave room for a little stamping. I pulled out Turning a New Leaf to stamp the leaf images in Noir Black ink. I then accented the card with some flowers I punched and a soft yellow punched heart. Thanks for visiting.

Bee Happy

  For today's card I mainly used Honey Bees stamp set (Paper Trey Ink). When I stamp I always seem to choose earthy colours first (you may have noticed if you a regular reader of my site) and this card is no exception (one of the reasons I like colour challenges). I chose to work with Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Noir (Palette) Ripe Avocado (PTI) and Bordering Blue (SU!). I randomly stamped the floral images on a piece of Suede Brown medium cardstock (Prism) and cut a strip of Honeycomb cardstock and used my traceing wheel to add a little texture. I also used a leaf image from Piece of Cake (PTI) to add the leaves to the flower stems. I tied a piece of Olive ribbon (Offray) and added a scalloped edge with my border punch (Fiskars). Finally I mounted the panel with dimensional adhesive and round the bottom corners of my card. Thanks for visiting.

True Friend

 

I was playing around with Life when I came up with this card. The images are stamped in Hibicus Burst and Ripe Avocado ink on Vintage Cream cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment (In Bloom) in Burnt Umber ink. I  added a little inking around the edges and some machine stitching and finished the card of with a pretty piece of ribbon and a button complete with a bow made from string. Thanks for visiting.

Baby Giraffe

 

 

Last week I pulled out some older SU! stamps because I felt like doing a bit of colouring. I decided on my favourite little stamp from an older set called Little Hellos. This little giraffe is two cute! I pulled out my prismacolor pencils and spirits and coloured away. I am so inspired by Paula's colouring (she does the most beautiful colouring so I was happy to see that she is coming to my neck of the woods next month to teach a colouring class...yay!) I paired the little giraffe with a PTI sentiment from Signature Greetings. Have a great day.

I had a few minutes before dinner was ready so I though I would pop in here for a quick post to share a card. This one may look valetine-ish because of the hearts but I made it into a get well card. I used the circular image from Polka Dot Basics to create the background and Vintage labels to add the dotted frame to the Nestabilities Label One. I also added a tiny scalloped border and a little glitter. Thanks for visiting.
